Nemecek Wetland Diversion

Ottawa County

This project was designed to collect the watershed runoff into an 18 acres wetland pool along the Portage River, so sediment and pollution can filter into the wetland before getting into the Portage River and then flowing to Lake Erie. This wetland will allow habitat and nutrient reduction and connects surrounding ecosystems.
