Chagrin R Headwaters Restoration

Cuyahoga County

The Western Reserve Land Conservancy will restore 15.4 acres of land including a channelized tributary and floodplain of the Chagrin River. The project will also preserve 74.5 acres of high-quality cold water stream habitat, contiguous to already protected land. Restoration and preservation will secure long-term nutrient and sediment sequestration infrastructure in the Lake Erie watershed by filtering over 800 acres of suburban runoff.
