Killbuck Creek Headwaters Preservation and Restoration

This project involves the acquisition, restoration, and preservation of a 43‐acre, two parcel property in Wayne County in the Ohio River Watershed. The project drains directly to Killbuck Creek and consists of approximately 39 acres of previous agricultural land with forested field borders. The project will create approximately 6.6 acres of wetlands, 4.1 acres of riparian forest buffer, and 28.2 acres of upland pollinator habitat. In addition, the project will further the impact of H2Ohio’s investment in improving water quality of Killbuck Creek that was funded in Holmes County.
