Mary Jane Thurston State Park is in the Maumee River floodplain and approximately 70% of the park soils are dominantly hydric. The Division of Parks and Watercraft is partnering with Henry Soil & Water Conservation District to develop wetlands and wildlife habitat in unutilized areas in the west side of the park.
