Hellbranch Meadows West Wetland Restoration

Franklin County

This project will effectively capture, store, and passively treat stormwater, agricultural tile drainage, and surface runoff from nearby areas. It will add 11 acres of wetlands and an additional 18 acres of restored wetland buffer area that was formerly an agriculture. The project will build upon previous wetland and stream restoration that Franklin SWCD completed on approximately 130-acres of adjacent field. Restored wetland areas will be replanted with native species of wetland plants and shrubs which will increase wildlife habitat in the area.

Project Size: 29 Acres
