These 8.5 acres were restored to decrease flooding in the area. Flooding was affecting the Harrod residents and leading to property damage. Thus, the restoration was completed to decrease flooding and nutrient storage capacity, this included 4 acres of floodplain and 2 acres of wetlands. This led to an increase of native species and ecosystems that were their historically.
