Ottawa County
This 119-acre project is in Ottawa county, Ohio and is adjacent to US Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge (ONWR). This project restores 4 acres of wetlands and approximately 17 acres of riparian area. Restoration along 3,000 linear feet of ditch within the property has created a more natural hydrology, slowing surface water, creating storage, and filtering nutrients. It will be maintained as high-quality habitat by the USFWS with public access.
