Floating Wetlands on Lake Erie Project

Cuyahoga County

Cleveland Metroparks will install floating wetlands at the East 55th Street Marina and/or East 72nd Street Fishing Area within Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation. Floating wetlands are hosts to various species of plant life that float on water. As the roots grown beneath the “island” surface, they will filter excess nutrients from the water. This project will increase habitat for local wildlife and contribute to better water quality on in Lake Erie.
Project Size: 900-1200 square feet
Partner: Cleveland Metroparks
