Henry County | Maumee State Forest Addition
This project includes wetland creation and forest restoration. The implemented practices will naturally capture phosphorus-laden runoff to reduce the amount of nutrients entering agricultural ditches and slow peak-flow into nearby waterways. Tree species to be planted include white oak, red oak, black oak, black cherry, black walnut, hickory, and, if available, American chestnut and butternut.
