On February 1, Governor Mike DeWine announced his 2022-2023 budget proposal which includes the continuation of the H2Ohio Initiative, his initiative for clean and safe water. Over the last two years, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency have implemented wetland projects to filter over 80,000 acres of watershed, repair or replace 180 home sewage treatment systems, and enroll over one million acres of farmland in best management practices. Directors Dorothy Pelanda, Mary Mertz, and Laurie Stevenson held a presentation on February 16, 2021 about future plans for H2Ohio.
